In January 1998, severe ice and high winds ravaged upstate New York, New England and part of Canada

In January 1998, severe ice and high winds ravaged upstate New York, New England and part of Canada. Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses were left without heat and other utilities.

Finke Equipment responded by sending a dozen employees and truckloads of generators 200 miles north.  Setting up a temporary shop in a local Dairy Queen for 2 weeks, more than 800 generators were provided to families and small businesses.
